hemera
Hemera is the Greek primordial goddess of day. The Greek poet Hesiod establishes that Hemera is the daughter of Erebus and Nyx. According to the poet Bacchylides, Nyx and Chronos are Hemera's parents but in Hyginus's preface to the Fabulae, Chaos is both mother and father to Hemera and Nyx is her sister. Hemera is the female counterpart of her brother and consort, Aether, but neither myth or cult actively featured them. According to Hyginus, their children were Uranus, Gaia and Thalassa while Hesiod only lists Thalassa as their child.
